To be fair, the title is a bit misleading. If I don’t have to wrangle two kids to get out of the door it takes me 5 minutes. If I’m getting ready with the kids, it's probably like 20--have you ever tried putting on mascara with a handsy toddler on your lap? It should be an olympic event. I’m just glad I still have two functioning eyes!
Anyway, back to my tried and true products of the moment!
Moisturizer/Primer - Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer A double duty product that leaves my skin feeling moisturized and a-mazing!
Base - Mixing these 2 products gives me a good medium coverage that lasts about 8 hours on my normal/combo skin. The Erborain BB Creme au Ginseng is the best I have found for my skin type. I use two pumps of the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in 00 Alabaster to help lighten the bb cream and add a little more coverage.
Cover up those circles! They’re hideous! - Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly Need I say more?
Set that - Urban Decay The Velvetizer Translucent Mix-In Medium Run, don’t walk to your local Sephora and pick this up. LIFE CHANGING for setting foundation. I’m not really a fan of mixing it into my foundation. But using it as a setting powder? Amazing.
Warm It Up - NARS Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer in Laguna Buff into hollows of cheeks, around temples into forehead, jawline and if you’re like me, the tip of your nose to help shorten it.
Add Some Color - Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion Pop onto apples of cheeks and blend back for a subtle hint of (coral-ish) color. Love these blushes!
Brows - Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil Ultra Fine Shape and Define Literally the longest name for a fine point brow pencil. Benefit does brows RIGHT. All of their brow products are amazing. You can not go wrong with anything! Set those bad boys with Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer for staying power and a little extra oomph.
Eye Primer - Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Anti-Againg An oldie but oh so goodie. I switched to the anti-aging formula because why not get a little extra help if you can? That battle against time isn’t going to win itself! I still like to be told I don’t look old enough to have 2 kids 😉.
Eyeshadow - Viseart Eye Palette in Warm Neutrals The most incredible shadow formula EVER. Colors are true and blend like a dream! Use lightest shade on entire lid and blend a mid-tone brown of your choosing through the crease.
Lashes - L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara My new favorite! VERY similar brush to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara but doesn’t flake on me through the day like the Too Faced does.
Tools - Sigma Brushes My favorite brushes! I really only need 3 to achieve my everyday look. The 3DHD Kabuki Brush for foundation and concealer. The F23 Soft Angled Contour for bronzer and blush and the E40 for eyeshadow.
